5 years ago I visited Tumaini senior school to work painting the school and specifically decorating the water tanks outside the dorms. The Hall was still under construction then and the pupils were helping to build it. The pupils also took part in decorating the tanks on the site.
The last 5 years has seen the artwork on the tanks wear off but also new tanks have been constructed. The water tanks play a vital role in the schools existence so we are in the process of redecorating all of them. In the photos below you will see how the original tanks looked and how they have fell into disrepair.
You can also see the tanks we have prepared for this week's job of redecorating.
The new murals aim to reflect the creative ideas of the pupils taking part.

The Tank at Pepo La Tumaini
Today the team finally got to finish the water tank at Pepo la tumaini. Water is the lifeblood of this community and is supplied by deep boreholes which is pumped using solar power to provide the senior school and clinic with this vital resource.
The young people will be working on designing and painting the rest of them with Boyd over the next few days.
Thanks to Victoria,Margaret, Mohammad and Ian for their hardwork.

The tank
It's been a full 5 years since the water tank was painted outside the clinic at Pepo la tumaini in Isiolo. In that time the sun and the elements have faded it. Today the team consisting of Victoria, lee, Mohammad and Margaret repainted the tank in preparation for the design we will be doing on it this week.
