We are happy to announce our project #bookstopbrixton has teamed up with Brixton village to host two new book shelves in Brixton village and Market Row.
This means we will be able to make more free reading material available to the public.

The finishing pieces

Today the art group put the finishing touches to their artwork which is being sent to the U.S next week as part of an exhibition.
Thanks to Victoria,Yusuf,Briton, Mohammad and Joeseph for making some great work.

New Art for our U.S Show

Today at Pepo la Tumaini the pupils worked on their art designs which will be heading to the U.S next week. The pieces were inspired by Kenyan nature.

Todays studio session

Today the art group at Tumaini worked on creating some one off artworks based on the theme of animals. The pupils learned different art techniques and how to mix paint.
The artworks when completed will be going to the U.S as part of an exhibition which we are currying.
Thanks to the hard work by Victoria, Yusuf, Mohammad, Joseph and our newest member Briton who joined us today.
We are working on more ideas for tommorow.

The Tank at Camp

Today the team worked on the design and painting of the water tank at the Camp at Pepo la Tumaini. The pupils worked on creating a design with a limited colour range so we used Black and white enamel with some white spray paint.
The idea of this was to show how you can still create a mural using tones and achieve a good result.The team consisting of Victoria, Mohammad,Yusuf and Joeseph have now painted 6 murals and are slowly getting used to working on a large scale.
Many thanks to them for all their hard work and endurance, we hope you like the result.

Tumaini senior school....last tank

Today at Tumaini senior school in Isiolo the art group finished painting the last water tank outside the kitchen.
The pupils have been learning composition, paint techniques and how to mix paints to get the right colours.
