Summer playscheme at Bede

This summer we are working with young people at Bede community centre to create masterpieces of art based on the work at our project at #stockwellhalloffame.
Using letterforms and background the young people worked on their designs before transfering them to art paper and T shirts.

Rumble in the Crumble

Today at #bookstopbrixton we have been perfecting the recipe for our crumble with Blackberries grown on #somerleytonroad.
It's important that we look at food sustainability in our communities so we can learn to grow and share food locally. It's something we have been doing at this project for years from the time we were in Clapham common up until now.
We will be doing some interesting dishes with what we are growing here so stay tuned here.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed today's crumble.
Now for the pictures.....

Potato crop at #bookstopbrixton garden

Today at the #bookstopbrixton garden we finally had our crop of potatoes.....they took a minute. So we popped them into a soup along with everything else. Our veggie soup is hot and spicey and it's a favourite at @brixtonstreetgym

Growing our garden

The emphasis on self sufficiency and DIY is something we do in our own way at @brixtonstreetgym.
The #bookstopbrixton garden on Somerleyton road is growing a number of herbs and vegetables with the local community.
Today we worked on a simple apple crumble recipe using apples we have been growing over the last few months.
Growing your own food and using space to grow is connecting residents back to where they live and more importantly eating off the land we live on.
This recipe is super easy here's the pictures. Get growing.

At the Bike Project.

We recently linked up with Kevin and Micheal who run @brixton_customz_repairs_cycles on Loughborough estate to see the work they do with young people there.
As part of our visit we fixed up their spot using paint kindly donated to us by @graphenstone which produces a environmentally friendly paint.
Follow the Brixton bike project on Instagram and please support Kevin and Micheals work.
