It's been busy at #bookstopbrixton with increased demand it has meant we have had to create a new shelf on Somerleyton road. Actually we are using a old shelf which has been revamped. This shelf was originally made for Kay's grandchildren back in 2014 and has been in her garden for the last 7 years.
As the kids have got older there was no use for it so we have taken it back and given it a new lease of life. It's a work in progress so here are some of the pics from back then to now.
At #bookstoobrixton we recently hosted @womcollective onto our exterior wall to create artwork as part of their exhibition in Brixton.
6 artists spent the weekend on the wall to create a dynamic mural celebrating International women's Day.
We will be hosting new art each month on our wall so watch this space.
This weekend we welcome the WOM collective who are painting our wall on Somerleyton road outside Brixton Street gym as part of International women's Day.
Painting starts at midday Saturday 6th march .

This week has been busy focusing on new additions to the Brixton Street Gym yard. We are using scrap pallets from the development of Brixton house theatre kindly donated by Galliford Try.
Also in the making is a new book cupboard for #bookstopbrixton
